Course held from December 13th to 17th in Bilbao and San Sebastian,  in collaboration with the University of Bordeaux.

The Fotonika community of Euskampus in collaboration with the team of the Grand Programme de Recherche Light of the University of Bordeaux has organized the first edition of the Lab Course in Bilbao and San Sebastian from 13th to 17th December with 4 students of the Master Light Science and Technologies of Bordeaux.

Throughout the week the students were able to work and be in contact with the different research groups that make up the Basque community Fotonika; visiting and experimenting with real practices a total of 7 different laboratories:

  • Nanomaterials and Spectroscopy (Materials Physics Center, San Sebastian).
  • Quantum Nanophotonics (Materials Physics Center, San Sebastian)
  • Magneto-optics (CIC Nanogune, San Sebastian)
  • Nanooptics (CIC Nanogune, San Sebastian)
  • Applied Photonics (School of Engineering UPV/EHU, Bilbao)
  • Laser spectroscopy (UPV/EHU School of Engineering, Bilbao)
  • Molecular Spectroscopy (Faculty of Science and Technology UPV/EHU, Leioa)

This activity has been very enriching for the students, as they have been able to acquire new knowledge and put into practice specific research techniques and methodologies applicable to the field of photonics, discovering new areas, and working directly with first level researchers.

This first experience has been a unique opportunity to generate new collaborations between the Euskampus Potonika community and the team of the Grand Programme de Recherche Light of the University of Bordeaux.
