
Jakinaldia, the new science festival, celebrates its first edition on 17 and 18 October in Musikene, Donostia
The festival, promoted by the Department of Science, Universities and Innovation, Basque Government-Eusko Jaurlaritza aims to bring science closer to the public. The first edition, under the name Kuantika Jaialdia, celebrates 100 years of quantum physics and the arrival of the most powerful IBM quantum computer of Europe in the Basque Country.

For two consecutive days, quantum physics will show its most magical and entertaining side. Music, theater, magic shows, scientific monologues, and bertsozientzia (Basque poetry) to bring quantum physics closer to society in a surprising and entertaining way.
Friday 17th will be designed especially for adult audiences, with various shows and informative talks that will inspire curiosity.
On Saturday18th, the program will be open to families and children, with a theater and a magic show designed to introduce young and old alike to the quantum world in a fun way.
