ONKO-ON and the Co-creation Workshops, a step forward.

"It is necessary to create a common language to build bridges of trust between different disciplines" in order to integrate support for people affected by cancer.

With that in mind, as expressed by one of our participants, Euskampus Fundazioa and The Care Lab held two co-creation workshops as part of the ONKO-ON Mission on 6th and 7th May. 

More than 40 professionals from the health, social, associative and research fields, as well as people with direct experience of cancer, took part in Bilbao and San Sebastian with the aim of exchanging learning and exploring specific future opportunities for action in the ONKO-ON Mission from numerous perspectives.

The ONKO-ON Mission seeks to improve the quality of life of people affected by cancer in the Basque Country by integrating physical activity, nutrition and emotional well-being into their treatment. Generating evidence and innovative proposals to help people cope better with the different phases of cancer, from suspicion to "life after cancer” or life with chronic cancer. Ultimately, the aim is to build an integrated and accessible support system for all those affected, providing them with the resources and tools to face each stage of the experience.
